Alibaba.com operates a neutral marketplace for buyers and sellers to post their products and market their companies online. As part of our terms of use, each individual member takes responsibility for the content they post on the site. When they post content, members must guarantee that their postings follow our Terms of Use. We also urge users to read our Privacy Policy and Product Listing Policy before using our website.

Although Alibaba.com endeavors to ensure the honesty and transparency of our marketplace, ultimately it is up to each Alibaba.com member to determine whom to do business with. Both Alibaba.com and our members have certain rights and responsibilities which we summarize in the Alibaba.com Disclaimer.

Intellectual Property Protection

Alibaba.com respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we expect our users to do the same. Our policy on Intellectual Property and Infringement Claims can be found here.

Alibaba.com welcomes companies to report to us any listing on Alibaba.com which they believe violates their intellectual property rights. We have a clear notification and take down procedure for infringing items which is summarized below.

Procedures for reporting an alleged infringement to Alibaba.com:

  1. If you have a good faith belief that a listing on Alibaba.com infringes your copyright, trademark, patent or other intellectual property rights, you may download our Notice of Claimed IPR Infringement (the "Notice") form, complete it, and fax (+ 852 2215 5200) or email (registeredagent@alibaba-inc.com) it to Alibaba.com. The completed Notice should specifically identify the vendor and claimed infringing product listing (i.e., product description, model number, etc.).   2. Upon receipt of the Notice, we will promptly evaluate your complaint, and in cases where it is appropriate, we will expeditiously take down the listing referred to in the Notice.
  3. We will notify the vendor in writing of the removal of the claimed infringing product listing and provide the vendor with your contact information so that the vendor may contact you directly and with an opportunity to respond.
  4. If the vendor objects to the removal of the alleged infringing product listing, the vendor may submit to us an appropriate counter-notice to dispute the claim. Upon receipt of such counter-notice, we may resume the vendor's listing unless we receive notice from you that an action has been filed against the vendor in a court of competent jurisdiction for infringement of your intellectual property rights.
