Alibaba.com offers a broad range of products and services to both suppliers and buyers. Basic features such as standard supplier storefronts, product listings and communication tools are available for free. We also offer paid membership packages to verified suppliers.

TrustPass

We recognized early on that trust and safety are fundamental to e-commerce. All of our paid suppliers must pass an authentication and verification process conducted by an independent third-party agency. Only those who have been successfully verified by the third party can obtain an Alibaba "TrustPass". Information such as business registration, company name and address, and the applicant's relationship with the business entity will be verified. Our experience shows that over 85% of buyers on Alibaba.com prefer to do business with verified members only.

Alibaba.com offers the following paid membership packages for suppliers:
International Marketplace
The Gold Supplier membership packages are for export-oriented suppliers, which consists of a number of basic services including Premium Company Website, Priority Listing, 3rd Party Authentication and Verification, Product Showcase, Biz Trends, Buyer Country Locator, Tradeshow Promotion, etc and a range of Value-added Services including Keyword Ranking, Sponsored Links, etc.
China Marketplace
The China TrustPass membership package is for businesses engaging in domestic trade in China. It includes basic services including standard storefronts, trust rating, priority ranking, and dedicated training and customer service, as well as a range of value-added services.

In June 2008, we launched China TrustPass for Individuals, a new product tailored for individual business people. China TrustPass for Individuals members are ranked higher than free members but below China TrustPass corporate members on our China marketplace.


Other products and services

TradeManager is our instant messaging tool that enables buyers and suppliers to communicate in real time. The free downloadable software also allows our members to use audio and video conference to connect with trading partners.
Winport was beta launched in April 2008 on our China marketplace. It helps SMEs build their own presence on our website, including domain names, massive capacity company email accounts, unlimited product listings and customized storefronts.
Export-to-China was beta launched in August 2008 to allow global sellers to tap into China's booming import market. The service provides suppliers with a Chinese-language online storefront on our China marketplace.
