Tech's role in the 2008 presidential elections
Technology played a prominent role in the 2008 elections. Throughout the year we saw technological advances used both for good, such as using text messaging to announce a vice presidential pick, and for bad, such as hacking into another vice presidential pick's private e-mail account. Other tech highlights include the YouTube debates, viral videos, and super-sized networks at the Democratic and Republican national conventions.
