4004 Microprocessor (1971)
Intel's first microprocessor became famous for powering the Busicom calculator. Running at about 108 kilohertz, or 60,000 calculations a second, the 4004 gave the world a new excuse to slack off in math class. It became the progenitor of future computer systems and can be found selling on eBay as a collectible for around $1,000.
