LED Tank Top
The latest installment in Leah Buechley's LED shirt series is a tank top covered with 140 light-emitting diodes that are stitched with conductive thread to a battery and microcontroller. That makes the shirt a low-resolution display, with lights blinking on command to project text animations, much like a Times Square ticker. It can be programmed wirelessly with a PDA, thanks to an infrared receiver embedded in the shirt. The tank top itself, of course, is handmade.
