APEC SME Technology Conference and Fair

In June 2004, the Third APEC SME Technology Conference and Fair was held in Qingdao, which attracted nearly 700 domestic and overseas companies and 150,000-plus visitors (including over 6,000 overseas visitors). During the meeting, a total of US$ 109 million-worth export contracts and RMB 267 million- worth domestic trade contracts were signed. A total of 102 foreign investment projects were signed, involving an overall investment of US$ 370 million. The technical exchanges, forums, trade fair and large-scale transnational procurement talks held during the meeting were greatly successful.
