The Dallas Cowboys quarterback from 1969 to 1979 started his own commercial real estate oufit, Staubach Co., in 1977. After 30 years, Staubach, 66, turned over the chief executive spot in 2007. By then, his Dallas firm was up to 70 offices, 1,600 employees, and $450 million in revenue. Football was good training for business, he says. "Hard work, perseverance, teamwork鈥攖he things you learn as an athlete come in handy."
