Huizhou Zhongkai High-tech Park (ZKHTP) is located in the southwestern area of Huizhou City, and was named after Liao Zhongkai, a famous historical figure born in Huizhou. The Park was awarded state-level status by the State Council in November 1992. It is 7 km from downtown Huizhou, 68 km from Shenzhen and 90 km from Hong Kong. It is 100 km from Shenzhen Airport and 160 km from Guangzhou Airport. Huizhou City is located at the eastern part of the Pearl River Delta. It is a cozy and beautiful city with the West Lake situated in the downtown area. Huizhou used to be relatively isolated from other parts of Guangzhou. However, with the accelerated development of infrastructure in Huizhou, this is no longer the situation today.
