Qingdao High-tech Park (QDHTP) was approved by the State Council as a state-level high-tech park in 1992. The total development area is 58 km2. Occupying 16.7 km2, the industrial region faces the old urban area in the west, Laoshan Scenic Spots in the east and the Stone Old Man National Tourism Resort in the south. The Park is 17 km from Qingdao International Airport, where flights to Seoul, Pusan, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other major cities are readily available. Qingdao is the biggest industrial city in Shandong Province.
