Astronaut
There aren't many jobs more glamorous than rocketing off into space and floating around in zero G. But even though they may hold exceptional jobs, astronauts are still plain old government employees. According to a NASA spokesmen, civilian astronaut salaries are based on the federal government's General Schedule pay scale for grades GS-12 through GS-13. That means they earn between $56,301 and $87,039 a year, depending on experience.
