Undo your IRA contribution
If you made a 2008 IRA contribution earlier this year, you can withdraw the amount you put in, plus interest and dividends, without any tax hits. Just make sure you don't take a deduction for the contribution on your 2008 return and you include any income from the contribution on your return.
