Taiyuan High-tech Park (TYHTP) is located in the southern part of Taiyuan. It is the only high-tech zone in the province, and was given the status of state-level high-tech park in November 1992. The total development area of the Park is 60.8 km2. TYHTP is 7 km from Taiyuan Railway Station and 6 km from Taiyuan Airport. It is located at the entrance of Taiyuan-Shijiazhuang Expressway which links the capital cities of the two provinces (Shanxi and Hebei). National Highways No. 108 and No. 208 run through the area. Taiyuan is a city with more than 2,500 years of history. There are many historical sites in the city such as Jinci Temple, Shenmu (Saint Mother) Hall, Congshan Temple, Double Tower Temple and Dafo (Big Buddha) Temple.
