Dongxing Border Economic Cooperation Zone was authorized and established as a national border zone in 1992 by the State Council. It is the most convenient border gateway to Southeast Asia. In the past few years, the Zone had developed into a most active border trade co-operation area for bilateral trade between China and Vietnam. Dongxing is 170 km from Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi, and 60 km from Fangcheng Port.
