RIM BlackBerry Pearl
The Pearl was the first BlackBerry to jump from corporate to consumer hands, thanks to its petite size and attractive look. Available on every major carrier, Pearls all have an unusual SureType keyboard with two letters on each key that younger folks coming over from standard cell phones tend to love, but those accustomed to QWERTY keyboards tend to have trouble getting used to. The Pearl has the usual top-notch BlackBerry e-mail and a decent Web browser, though its smaller screen makes it a less compelling Web device than the Curve.
