Globe Telecom is controlled by SingTel, which owns a 45% stake. The Philippines' second-largest telecommunications company attracted 1 million mobile customers in its fourth quarter, bringing its total subscriber base to 21.3 million, up 26% from a year ago. Globe reported a net income of $327 million in 2007, up 13% from the year before. Globe will release the new 3G iPhone to the Philippines in late 2008.
