A Plan To Upend The Domain-Name System Runs Into Opposition
15 Jul 2009 21:42:27 PSTICANN, the non-profit group that regulates domain names, wants to vastly expand the number of 鈥渢op level domain names鈥� beyond the 21 that currently exist, such as .com, .net, and .mobi. But the proposal, which is expected to go into effect next year, is running into lots of opposition.
