Xerox Corporation has announced the launch of Phaser 6140 colour laser printer that 'delivers vibrant, professional colour that’s easy on the budget.'

Priced at $399, the Phaser 6140 produces vivid colour documents by pairing 600x600x4 dpi image resolution with Xerox’s Emulsion Aggregate High Gloss (EA-HG) toner, which provides crisp text and uniform colour, said a Xerox statement.

A variety of tools such as Adobe PostScript 3, Pantone colour-approved simulations and Xerox colour-correction technology are also included to help manage colour and ensure professional-looking colour prints.

“A small budget shouldn’t mean you have to sacrifice making a big impression,” said Dan Smith, general manager for Integrated Marketing, Xerox, MEA (DMO).

“The Phaser 6140 delivers show-stopping colour and performance at an affordable price,” he added.

With a paper capacity of 250 sheets and fast print speeds of 19 pages per minute (ppm) in colour and 21 ppm in black and white, the Phaser 6140 helps small offices produce high-quality colour documents quickly and reliably. The printer’s compact design is ideal for businesses with limited space.

The Phaser 6140 is Energy Star-qualified and part of the Xerox Green World Alliance – a worldwide initiative to encourage customers to recycle or dispose of supplies in a manner that minimizes impact on the environment, Smith said.

The model has additional features including a built-in toner system that creates up to 80 per cent less waste than comparable colour laser printers and N-up printing, which enables users to print multiple pages onto one document.

It comes with the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee and a one-year on-site warranty, he added
