Dell launches 'super thin' Inspiron

Published: 18 Oct 2009 18:21:52 PST

Dell has rolled out its thinnest (measuring only 25.8mm) and lightest Inspiron laptop - the new Inspiron 11z - at Gitex Shopper.

Weighing in at just 1.4kg,  the Inspiron 11z combines the portability of a netbook with the capability of a laptop, and has all the ingredients to make it the ultimate stylish digital companion, said a company official.

For those who want mobility without compromise, the Inspiron 11z offers a smooth, easy digital experience in an ultra-portable, super-slim design.

The petite laptop packs a punch, benefitting from the new Intel® ultra-low-voltage processor (CULV), 2GB of memory, and long battery life.

Featuring a HD display as standard with 1,366 x 768 resolution - perfect for watching internet TV – the Inspiron 11z is a complete mobile experience, enabling people to be connected whenever, wherever, with integrated Wi-Fi, a 1.3 mega-pixel webcam, hard drive of 160GB and a six-cell battery offering over six hours of battery life.

Now in a range of vibrant colours, including Obsidian Black, Alpine White, Flamingo Pink, New Cherry Red, and  Ice Blue, the Inspiron 11z is available at Gitex Shopper, the Dell Store in Dubai Mall, and all leading retailers across the region.

Phil Bryant, VP and general manager, Dell EMEA Consumer, said, “Since its initial launch with the The Carphone Warehouse in the UK in August, demand for a device that combines the portability of a netbook with the technical capabilities of a full sized laptop is clear. Our Inspiron 11z is the perfect solution for users who cannot compromise on processing power but demand ultra-portability and style.”
