Nakilat 9-month net profit surges 129pc

Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) said on Wednesday it haas posted a nine month net profit of QR347.9 million ($95.55 million), up 129 per cent from the same period last year.
The company had posted a net profit of QR151.9 million in the first nine months of 2008.
The shipper made a net profit of QR114.5 million in the third quarter, from QR67.12 million in the same quarter last year, according to Reuters calculations based on previous financial statements.
Prime Emirates forecast a net profit of QR250 million in the third quarter in a Reuters survey this month.
In a regulatory filing on the Qatar bourse website, the company did not give a breakdown of its results or give figures for the third quarter.
