China Oct crude imports rise 28.2 pct

BEIJING, Nov 11 - China imported 16.16 million tonnes, or 3.81 million barrels per day, of crude oil in October, up 28.2 percent compared with the same month in 2007, data from the General Administration of Customs showed on Tuesday.

Imports in the first 10 months increased 10.6 percent to 151.15 million tonnes.

Imports of refined oil products totalled 2.02 million tonnes for October, data published on the administration's website showed (www.customs.gov.cn).
