As the dog days waned gradually at the end of August, atmosphere of Shanghai international expo center was still warming up by the opening of two important textile exhibitions: 14th China international trade fair of home textile & accessories and China international knitting trade fair. The two simultaneous exhibitions, sharing the resources so as to fully present the glamour of products, attracted a raft of suppliers, purchasers home and abroad, which provoked more opportunities to generate understanding, cooperation as well as values…
Organi zed by China Home Text i le Associat ion, The Sub- Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT and Messe Frankfur t (HK) Ltd. , Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles, one of Asia's most popular home texti les trade shows, returns for its 14th year, 26--28 August 2008, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, with 100,000 sqm of exhibition space. Over sea s exhibi tor s ha ve doubled in number this year. They are coming from 24 countries and regions, such as I taly, France, Germany, UK, Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Danmark, U.S. , Singapore, Austral ia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Portugal, Israel, HK, and Taiwan (China). Growth in China's home textile industry -imports and exports - is gaining momentum, creating an enormous opportunity for home textile suppliers. Residential living space in China reached 170 million sqm last year, roughly equal to the ent i re size of Greece. With all that space to fill, home textile consumpt ion is skyroc keting along with demand for top quality, imported products. Trade buyers in China are eager to fnd products to match the growing demand for sophi sticated and quality furnishings. In 2007, home textile imports to China rose 25%, earning USD 80 million.
More than 1,000 suppliers will present home textiles from floor to ceiling at Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles 2008. To showcase products more effectively,the show is organised with internat ional suppliers in the main hall divided by product group.
Profile for exhibi t include bed l inen, blankets & bedding, terry & towel ing products & bath mat, table and kitchen linen, curtains, curtain accessories, upholstery fabrics & leather textile, wall coverings, carpets & rugs accessories, textile for contract market, fbers/yarns, printing & CAD/CAM/CIM systems, design & styling, trade publications, e-commerce.
A large number of well-known domestic enterprises take active participation in this show. They presented various fashionable, patterns and products. In particular, many enterprises from Shandong joined the exposition and highlighted this exhibition.
Exposition witnessed and pushed forward the flourishing development of Chinese home textile industry in the past 14 years. On each August, the Exposition severs not only the exhibition trade fair for Chinese home textiles, "great feast" gathering home textiles, "Vane" of popular trend of home textiles, "window" of industrial development trend, but also the largest-scaled and most influential home textile- professional exposition in Asia.
Through this "window", we see that the home textile industry is just under the shift from the single product manufacturing to multi-industrial and multi-regional "Home Textiles" mode; the home textile enterprise is just under the shift from production-oriented mode to consumption-or iented mode, increasing the impact on the terminal channel and consumer as well; the brand development of home textiles becomes more intense and various home textile enterprises under growth are all beginning to implement brand-construction strategy; the fne division of product, channel, style and brand instill new energy to the homogenized air.
From individual products to whole home textiles, from product guidance to life style, we can see that it become sstronger and bigger, turning new visage for home textile enterpriser to respond to diffculty and challenge.
"Constant ly and cont inuously evoking the innovation and effectiveness of enterprises," saidb the Yang Donghui, the vice chairman of China Nationa Textile and Apparel Council and chairman of Chinese Home Textile Association, and led by him, the Chin Home Textiles industry has been kept growing 30% for six years in a row since 2000 through "Making Influence" and "Making Market", enabling it to be one emerging industry in China home textile field and attracted a great number of investors. Facing the unprecedented continuing RMB appreciation stagnation of European and American market, rise of labor force costs, increasing raw material price intense price battle resulted from homogeneou competition as well as various unfavorable elements the Chairman Yang Donghui expects to evoke the industry's confidence and passion through series o new activities in 2008 Intertextiles. Yang Zhaohua vice chairman of Sub-Council of Textile Industry o CCPIT and vice chairman of Chinese Home Textile Association can not agree with it more, and he hold the idea that the Association, taking some prospective measure favorable to industrial development in virtue of the exposition, plays an important role in enhancing the leapfrog development of this industry.
2008 inter textile featured the following perspectives: Strengthening popularity and constructing platform Introduced by Yang Zhaohua, "from the past two years, we didn't consider the exposition developmen from the scale, but intended to construct a pleasan trading platform for enterprise from various efforts the exposition scale in 2008 still keeps 100,000m2 whi le we have put high demands on invi t ing exhibitor and purchasers. To enhance and deepen the exposition brand, expand the popularity of both domestic and foreign purchaser. Pushing forward the home textiles industry to become strong both internally and externally turn out to be our objects in the next following years."
Because the show has attracted a great number of high-quality purchasers, it has set up favorable extraverted public praise among the big enterprises of home textiles, and its extraverted function turns out to be more influential in the home textiles industry. After two years of deep communication between home textiles association and international craft brothers, the internationalization of exposition becomes higher and higher and its exporting becomes stronger and stronger.
From last year, the Exposition orgrazition has enlarged the invitation of domestic general merchandise purchasers and marketplace channel purchasers.
From this year, they focuses on the ten target markets in Southwest, Nor theast , Cent ral China, East China and South China etc . , and specially invited about 200 purchasing managers among the general merchandises and gave VIP treatment so as to extend this internal trading function of home textiles through these measures.
