Mehala, in association with Assyst Bullmer, recently organised a two-day seminar in New Delhi. The seminar came up as an added service to the customers, as several solutions were presented in the seminar on different subjects. The seminar also gave insights on how apparel companies could increase their competitive edge with state-of-the-art web-enabled and cutting-room solutions by conducting a technical seminar for both soft goods (apparel) and technical textile users. The key focus area of the two-day seminar was automation of cutting- and CAD-room operations. During this two-day event, the apparel and non-apparel industries were given a unique opportunity to review an array of technologies from Assyst Bullmer. The seminar focused on improving productivity and efficiency through optimum utilisation of resources. The two products that attratced maximum interest of the participants were Vidya, 3D simulation software that can drape a fabric and that also works in real time, and Automarker, an application service, which provides on-demand software for pattern nesting and guarantees fabric savings up to three per cent.
