Aug. 20, 2009 (China Knowledge) - ZTE Corp<000063><0763>, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions in China, announced that its wholly owned unit in the U.S. had signed a contract with Verizon Wireless Inc to supply the latter with the AD3700 mobile broadband USB modem with global connectivity, in the north American country, sources reported. The consumer-friendly AD3700 gives customers access to high-speed networks in more than 175 destinations including EV-DO, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and HSPA/UMTS wireless platforms. The USB modem is priced at US$79.99 and has been available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores since Aug. 14.
