Xi’an Development Zone of High-Tech Industries

Established in Aug.1991,Xi’an Development Zone of High-tech Industries covers overall plan area of 34 km.10 science and technology parks and industrial bases of software , photoelectronics ,new material and medicine etc. have been built up in the zone .Until now more than 4000 enterprises have been established ,of which 703 new-and high-tech corporations and 488 foreign-invested ventures. There are 83 risk investment enterprises in the zone, which occupies the first place in high-tech development zones of China.

YangLing Demonstration zone for Agricultural High-tech Industries

As the only state-level agricultural high-tech demonstration zone ,YangLing  Demonstration Zone for Agricultural High-tech Industries covers an area of 94 km with population of 140 thousand. There are 110 Laboratories with 5000 science and educational talents of agriculture in more than 70 subjects. Researches on wheat breeding ,dry farming ,plant protection ,poultry procreation incretion and embryo engineering take leading position in china. Technologies on animal clone, stem cell and crossbreed wheat rank in front of the world. Since establishment in six years , more than 1600 improved varieties of fine quality animals and plants have been extended and over 1000 agricultural technologies transferred .Average annual economic benefit reaches 15 billion.

Xi’an Economic&Technological Development Zone 

Covering overall plan area of 23.5 km, Xi’an Economic&Technological Development Zone is a base for machine-building and electronics, light industry, food , medicine and new materials etc. At present ,some of 500 world-top enterprises such as Coca Cola ,HP ,Siemens ,Mitsubishi and Volvo etc. and famous enterprises from HongKong and Taiwan established offices and plants here.

Baoji Develpoment Zone of High-tech Industries

Approved by the State Council , Bao ji Development Zone of High-tech Industries was established in 1992.At present ,there are more than 500 enterprises of which over 100 new-and high-tech corporations. Leading industries are electronic, IT , electromechanical integration and new materials etc. China –Germany joint venture for new chemical material with total investment of 200 million USD are underway now. Overseas Chinese Doctors Pioneering Park with an area of 15 thousand square meters has been put into service.

Xi’an Export Processing Zone 

Approved by the State Council, Xi’an Export Processing Zone was established in June,2000.As the only national export processing zone, it occupies an area of 2.8 km and governed by customs in complete close way. Enterprises entered can enjoy preferential policy of zero customs duty , zero export tariff and zero consumption tax .“one-time declaration , one time document examination and one –time inspection” is adopted from port to export processing zone. With more than 10 enterprises from home and abroad, it becomes a new growing point of processing trade in Shaanxi Province.
