According to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), a relatively stable growth was achieved in the monthly output of air-conditioner, refrigerator and washing machine.As for the output of refrigerator, washing machine and air-conditioner stood at 9.2 million, 5.59 million and 13.16 million respectively, with the growth rate of 6.12%, 15.22% and 15.92% each compared with a month ago; the cumulative output of the three totaled 50.18 million, 33.3149 million and 78.86 million in the first half of the year respectively, with the year-on-year growth rate of 18.47%, 6.95% and 0.1% each. As for small appliances, the output of rice cookers reached 13.91 million in June, up 7.64% from a month ago, and its cumulative output hit 81.14 million during the January-June period with year-on-year growth rate of 16.60%; the production volume of microwave oven was 5.35 million, down 6.96% compared with the previous month, and its cumulative output increased by 0.35 % year-on-year to 35.74 million in the first half of the year; from January to June, the output of household smoke exhaust ventilator hit 10.99 million, up 16.28%. Based on the data of June alone, we can see that apart from microwave oven and electric fan, both small and major appliances recorded a relatively stable growth trend. As energy saving subsidy policy expired in June, the sales performance of home appliances was weak, but the output was not affected with a smooth growth.
The exports sum of such three major appliances as air-conditioner, refrigerator and washing machine totaled $ 1.63 billion, down 2.63% compared with the previous month, and their cumulative export reached $ 10.16 billion in the first half of the year, with the year-on-year growth rate of 5.41%. While the cumulative export of the rest of the home appliances hit $ 17.896 billion during the January-June period, up 9.9% year-on-year. And rice cooker reached a high growth rate of 34.58% with 5 million in June, extending the momentum since December last year.
