According to General Administration of Customs, the exports of home appliance industry are as follows: the exports of all the home appliances totaled $ 4.763 billion this June, up 2.65% compared with the last month, and the cumulative exports increased by 8.25% year-on-year to $ 28.057 billion in the first half of the year.
The export of air-conditioner was 4.22 million this June, down 0.66%, and its total export hit 32.21 million from January to June this year, up 0.45% year-on-year. Wherein the exports of air-conditioner to North America, Europe declined to some extent, with the United States having the biggest decline. However, the air-conditioner export continued to grow in the regions of Asia, Africa, Latin America and other regions.
The export of washing machine was 1.66 million this June, down 17.64%; its total export decreased by 0.45% to 10.07 million in the first half of the year. Both the unfavorable international economic environment and higher growth base in 2012 have led to the weak exports of washing machine in 2013. In terms of export volume and value, Japan market topped in June, 2013, but due to a weak Yen, the volume and value both dropped. The United States market finished second, and export to the US continued to grow dramatically in June.
The export of refrigerator stood at 2.09 million this June, up 4.39% year-on-year, and its total exports reached 8.34 million from January to May, up 2.66%. In terms of export volume, the top three destinations were: the US, Germany and the UK; and in terms of export value, the US, Japan and Germany occupied the top three positions.
