TOKYO, Oct 30 - Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso said on Thursday that the public's focus was on economic policies rather than politics, amid speculation that he would put off calling a snap election soon.
Aso, who took office last month, had initially been expected to call an election in October or November, but is now widely seen wanting to concentrate on coping with the global financial crisis.
