Plastindia 2009 to feature Asian plastic recycling & waste management conference

Recycling_PlastindiaThe Asian Plastic Recycling & Waste Management Conference is scheduled to be held on February, 7, 2009 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It will be held concurrently with Plastindia 2009. It will be a major event for industry professionals, policy makers, municipality officers, environment ministry officials, NGOs and concerned citizens from across the world. The unique line up of experts invited from all continents will deal with the latest ideas & projects on plastic recycling.  They are expected to share their valuable knowledge and technologies & ideas and exchange thoughts during panel discussions.

Along with this, the global recycled products & ideas contest will be a unique attraction. Some of the major subjects that will be covered by global experts at the conference include: New technologies and challenges for recycling plastics back to food grade quality  materials with ideas &  studies on PET and HDPE. It will also touch upon new approaches to recycling the non-bottle mixed plastics waste stream, technologies, properties, efficiencies and economics  for emerging economies.

Sustainability challenges for plastics used in packaging will also be discussed. It will focus on what is happening as citizens increasingly demand clean & safe foods & medicines and how plastics can meet the demands of a low carbon future.
