BioSpectrum&Bio Rad present Indian Biotech industry awards 2008

BioSpectrum recently announced the winners of the sixth edition of the much-awaited BioSpectrum Awards 2008. The awards were presented at a function hosted by BioSpectrum in association with Bio-Rad Laboratories, one of the leading companies known for its scientific discovery for more than 50 years. It provides a broad range of innovations, tools&services to clinical diagnostics and life science research markets.

The BioSpectrum 'Person of the Year Award' was presented to Dr Samir Brahmachari, director general, CSIR. The 'Life Time Achievement Award' was conferred upon Professor G Padmanaban, IISC, Bangalore. Anuradha Acharya, co-founder&CEO, Ocimum Biosolutions was presented the 'Entrepreneur of the Year Award'.
 
The 'Product of the Year 2008 Award' was given to two products, Xcyto Screen, Xcton Diagnostics, Bengaluru and Reditux. Nuziveedu Seeds won the 'Bio Agri Company of the Year Award,' while Serum Institute, Pune bagged the 'BioPharma Company of the Year Award'. The 'BioServices Company of the Year Award' went to Syngene International. Novozymes South Asia bagged the 'BioIndustrial Company of the Year Award', while Thermo Fisher Scientific was presented the 'BioSupplier of the Year Award'.
