XO Group Inc., owner of wedding retail and information sites and, has hired another top executive from Vente-Privee USA, an offshoot of France-based online private-sale retailer

Katherine Wu Brady becomes executive vice president, e-commerce and registry, for the web-only wedding supplies merchant, which is No. 477 in the Internet Retailer 2013 Top 500 Guide. She was CEO of Vente-Privee USA for one year, since February 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile. Before that, she was chief operating officer for Vente-Privee USA, which is No. 11 in the Europe 500. Her previous jobs were for such companies as the local news operation and media and entertainment provider NBCUniversal Inc.

Brady’s duties at XO Group involve boosting e-commerce engagement for XO Group shoppers and further developing the company’s gift registry.  “I am excited about the opportunity to apply my experience in optimizing mobile transactions and managing the customer life cycle to grow the e-commerce and affiliate revenue opportunities inherent in XO Group's powerful brands,” she says.

Last year, XO Group hired another CEO of Vente-Privee USA, Michael Steib, as president. In September, Vente-Privee USA lost its chief marketing officer, Robin Domeniconi, who took at similar job at Rue La La, the flash sale e-retailer that holds the No. 76 spot in the Top 500.
