BEIJING - People from all walks of life in Japan are welcome to make positive moves to improve China-Japan relations, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.
Governor of Tokyo Prefecture Yoichi Masuzoe visited Beijing from April 24 to 26 at the invitation of Beijing Mayor Wang Anshun.
It is reported that Masahiko Komura, vice president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party plans to visit China.
"China's stance on developing China-Japan relations is consistent and clear," Qin said, noting that China urges Japan to push forward bilateral relations on the basis of the four China-Japan political documents, in the spirit of taking history as a mirror to guide the future.
Qin said Japan should take practical actions to eliminate obstacles to improving bilateral ties, and return the bilateral relationship back to the track of development.
