Dell Inc. has re-organized around major customer segments, rather than by geography, and named executives to lead each segment. “Customer requirements are increasingly being defined by how they use technology rather than where they use it,” says Michael Dell, chairman and CEO. “That’s why we won’t let ourselves be limited by geographic boundaries in solving their needs.”
The new segments are large enterprises, small and medium businesses and government. Leading the new worldwide business units will be:
? Large enterprises: Steve Schuckenbrock, president, global services, and chief information officer.
? Small and medium businesses: Steve Felice, president, Dell Asia-Pacific and Japan. This group will focus on accelerating creation and delivery of small and medium business-specific technology to the more than 72 million small and medium-sized businesses worldwide.
? Government: Paul Bell, president, Dell Americas.
