In the first half, The revenue of Haier air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine and water heater has achieved RMB 9.97 billion, RMB 13.75 billion, RMB 5.63 billion and RMB 2.02 billion respectively, which increased by 8.64%, -0.97%, 1.92% and 4.29% respectively. Within the period of reporting, the market share of all businesses of Haier refrigerator, washing machine and water heater have continued occupying the top within the industry; air conditioner business has achieved the rapid growth with the steady increase of market share.
Qingdao Haier stated in the report that white goods industry has showed the state of stable recovery and increase in the first half, which benefits from the effects of factors like the resurgent real estate, energy saving residents beneficial policies and the low basic value of the industry in the same period of last year; the situation of product structure upgrading is obvious, and mid-to-high-end products represented by side-by-side door refrigerator/multi-door refrigerator, roller washing machine and variable frequency air conditioner has continued their rapid growth.
However, factors like the demand overdraft caused by energy saving residents beneficial policies and the slowing growth of economy will have negative impact on the demand of white goods industry. On the other hand, the launching of new energy efficiency standard will benefit the leading enterprises of household appliances dominating the technical equipment and R&D strength.
