Germany's November crude steel output up 2.32 percent over October

SteelOrbis - According to the statistics released by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in November German mills produced 2.26 million metric tons of pig iron, marking an increase of 8.1 percent year on year and up 7.11 percent compared to October, while the country's crude steel output amounted to 3.53 million metric tons, rising by eight percent year on year and up 2.32 percent month on month.

Meanwhile, in the first eleven months of the year, Germany's pig iron output totaled 17.88 million mt and its crude steel production amounted to 29.64 million metric tons, declining by 34.9 percent and 31.7 percent respectively compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
