POSCO plans to expand steel plate market in China

Korea’s POSCO is researching entering auto component field, meanwhile, is intends to extend steel plate used for auto in world’s largest auto producing country.POSCO held “EVI(EarlyVendorInvolvement) Forum” in Guangzhou, inviting the related persons from nearly 80 entire auto and auto component producers of Chery Automobile Corp. and Beyond Company in China. It is predicted that in 2009 China’s auto production increased by 30% year on year, reaching 13mln cars.
The report said that Shenyang processing center to be completed in June of 2010 included, POSCO runs a total of sixteen steel plate processing centers in China
