WISCO intends to expand rail exports

Nov. 20 MetalBiz--WISCO actively makes the preparation for open up rail export market.

WISCO recently is trying rolling the heavy rail of UIC 54kg/m according to EN, which can help WISCO exploit new export market.

WISCO is one of major domestic rail producers. In last March, the omnipotent rolling machine with annual 1.05mln tons based on old-mode steel wire is formally put into production. Currently, the production line is operating at the full capacity.

Before the completion of transform, WISCO’s rail is mainly exported to Southeastern Asia, whose rail standard is relatively lower; while the old production line of WISCO can’t satisfy the production of some high-end products.

If the new production line only produces rail, it is said that its production capacity can reach 800,000-900,000 tons. Other products are including H-shaped steel, I-beam and channel steel.

But WISCO rarely exported after the new production line was put into production in 2008; the products are mainly used to meet the Railway Department’s demand.
