Inn Mongolia finds a 200mln-ton-lignite coalfield

Nov. 19 MetalBiz--It is reported that in mineral resource big province, Inner Mongolia Province, recently finds a large-scale lignite coalfield with the reserves of nearly 200mln tons. Till now, the newly-increased coal deposit in Inner Mongolia is 550bln tons, and the total coal reserves exceed 700bln tons, ranking the first place in the whole country.

China only holds 211.8bln tons of lignite, and the lignite is mainly lied in eastern Inner Mongolia, eastern Yunnan, Northeast and South China. This large-scale lignite coalfield newly discovered is located in eastern Inner Mongolia with the reserves of almost 200mln tons, having the advantage of cleanness, low-volatilization and low-sulfur, but meanwhile, holding the disadvantage of high humidity level and low burning point and high carbon dioxide emission. After the test and analysis of experts, the coal quality can reach the request of industry.
