Throughput at Qinhuangdao port exceed 200mln tons in first 10 months

November 6 MetalBiz--Source from Qinhuangdao port noted that till the end of October, the throughput at Qinhuangdao port exceed 200mln tons, laid a firm foundation for achieving the annual production target, a four-consecutive-year over 200mln tons.

Affected by the international crisis, the production situation at Qinhuangdao port was more difficult since H2, 2008. In early this year, with the resuming enterprises in southern areas and increasing coal demand, the port took the opportunity to strengthen the coordination and communication between coal mines, railways and shipping units and improve coal transportation efficiency. At the same time, the port implemented refined management inside and improved production efficiency.

Groceries throughput hit record high, which became one of focuses at Qinhuangdao port this year. To expand groceries throughput is the direction for the development of the port.
