China's scrap steel imports hit record high in Jan.-Sep.

November 6 MetalBiz--China's scrap steel imports recorded with 11.19mln tons from January to September, soared by 389.2% compared with the same period of last year.

It is also the first time that scrap imports hit over 11mln tons. The main imported countries are as following: the US with 4.03mln tons, Japan with 3.77mln tons, and Australia of 729,000 tons.

Additionally, China imported around 1.3mln tons of scrap steel in September.
