November 6 MetalBiz--As the two steel mills in India's Jharkhand and Orissa hindered, ArcelorMittal is considering to change the locations. The total investment of the two projects is about U.S.$20bln and the steel mill project which is set to produce 12mln tons of steel annual is delayed four years with land acquisition.
Vijay Bhatnagar, CEO of ArcelorMittal in India and China showed the dissatisfaction about the project's progress on November 4. He said that the company is seeking for other area in Indian or other regions to establish new mills. However, he did not elaborate the arrangement.
In late last month, L.N.Mittal, CEO of ArcelorMittal disclosed that the location is not restrained in Jharkhand and Orissa, India. Sai Prathap Annawagari, minister of India Steel said in early times that Karnataka is willing to provide new location for ArcelorMittal.
