China's electric arc steel proportion to reach 25% in 2014
Published: 03 Nov 2009 00:16:17 PSTNovember 3 MetalBiz--China's steel giant Baosteel said recently that as enough steel scrap will be available, by 2014, there will be a quarter of steel output will be made by electric-arc furnace.
Actually, big steelmakers as Baosteel, Ansteel are seeking more steel scrap sources material from domestic market and international market.
Viewing the iron ore price will reach a second record-high, the scrap resources will release their pressure from raw material to some level.
In a word, the electric-arc steel' proportion increasing will means cleaner production and diversified raw material sources of China's steel industry.
