Nov. 2 MetalBiz--As the suppliers are waiting for the steel demand recovery, Philippine's square billet import price still remains steady, however, because buyers are concerned over the price to drop and the excessively high inventory, and hold the cautious attitudes and only purchase a small amount of square billet.

At present, Philippine offered the import price of square billet for December delivery for US $450-485 per ton (C&F), while one week ago the price was US $450-465 per ton (C&F). Russia quoted 3/5sp/ps square billet for US $450-460 per ton (C&F), but some Russia suppliers including OEMK offered the higher price for US $470 per ton (C&F); Ukraine quoted 3/5sp/ps square billet price for US $465 per ton; Japan and Taiwan offered the 40 square billet price for US $455 per ton (C&F)and US $460 per ton(C&F); Malaysia offered St-37 square billet price for US $485 per ton (C&F).
