Vietnam steel production jumped 18.7% y-o-y in the first ten months

November 2 MetalBiz--It is reported that Vietnam produced steel of 390,200 tons in October this year, up 1.55 m-o-m and 20% y-o-y. In the first ten months, the steel output was about 3.784mln tons accumulatively, up 18.7% year on year.

The price fluctuated violently in Vietnam steel market in October. In early October, the domestic-made steel quoted 12-13mln Dong per ton (U.S. $666-733), compared with the imported steel from Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, the price was lower 300,000-700,000 Dong per ton (U.S. $16-38).
