November 2 MetalBiz--On October 29, Karara iron ore project jointly operated by Ansteel and GindalbieMetals got the environmental approval from Australian Federal Government, which made a significant progress. The approval meant that this project has finished all approval procedures and gone to the construction formally.
Karara iron ore is located in Midwest of West Australia, which is a great achievement for Ansteel in international management. Ansteel and GindalbieMetals share its assets of 50% respectively. The project is scheduled to put into production in 2011 and provide 8mln tons of iron ore fines at least with the quality of 68.2% for Ansteel Bayuquan.
