Taiwan's billet import market quiet
Published: 27 Oct 2009 01:33:59 PSTOctober 27 MetalBiz--Overseas square billet has stopped to quote to Taiwan for a long time because overseas price is unacceptable by Taiwan.
Even though the overseas square billet price consecutively drops with dropping rebar price, it's nevertheless less the margin of reduction of rebar price.
Currently American container billet offer is U.S. $485 per ton, which can not meet Taiwan's bid price and therefore they decided to suspend to quote for the time being.
