October 26 MetalBiz--International Iron and Steel Institute(IISI) indicated that the global steel output in September fell 0.6% over the same period in 2008 to 107mln tons. China's crude steel output was up 28.7% compared with the same period in 2008 to 50.7mln tons.
According to the integrated report on October 23, IISA pointed out that global crude steel output fell 0.6% in September over the same period in 2008 to 107mln tons, increased for six consecutive months. China's crude steel output rose 28.7% in September over the same period last year to 50.7mln tons, accounting for 47% of global crude steel output.
IISA claimed that 66 reporting countries achieved 866mln tons of crude steel in the first nine months in 2009, decreased 16.4% from the same period in 2008.
