October 13 MetalBiz--Coking Industry Association pointed out that the guiding price of coke is 1,700 yuan per ton in October, lower 80 yuan per ton than September.

On October 9, Shanxi Coking Industry Association released information that the coke price in October will decrease 80 yuan per ton again based on the drop of 80 yuan per ton in September to 1,700 yuan per ton.

According to the changes in coal, coke and steel markets currently, especially the high price of coking coal and the serious reverse of coke cost, Coking Industry Association put forward that the coke guiding price is 1,700 yuan per ton in October, lower 80 yuan per ton than September. At the same time, the association asked to reduce production and strictly implemented the principals that the production depended on sales, requiring all coking enterprises arrange production with 60%-70% reduction unless gas supplying for towns.
