Duke Energy to conclude the clean-coal and renewable energy agreement with china-funded companies

Sep. 21 MetalBiz--Jim Rogers, CEO of US third-largest power company, Duke Energy Co. stated on September 18 that Duke Energy Co. would announce to conclude the deals with China's enterprises, and these deals are conducted to promoting the clean-coal technology and regenerative energy.

Jim Rogers noted that the company intends to carry out the research and develop the item with China's energy industry, working on developing the clean-electricity resources by means of coal and other renewable energy. He said that the company plans to announce the content of understanding memorandum in the following few weeks and in this week started from September 21 at the annual Clinton Global Initiative disclose the details of the contract with one China's company.

He said that in view of Duke's dependence on the coal, the company and China have the common interest. He expressed that the deal with Chinese-funded enterprises will surface some profitable projects. He added that China State Grid Corp. is a potential partner. He unveiled that the thought of Duke Energy Co. is to build up the co-operation relationship with some large-scale China's power companies.
