Jinchuan accumulatively produced 1.374mln tons of nickel since establishment

Asia-largest
nickel producer, Jinchuan Group,
Gansu in the recent days takes place in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the
company. At present, Jinchuan's nickel
output ranks No. 4 all over the
world, cobalt yield rating No. 2 throughout the world, and the international status and the competiveness significantly pick up. In 50 years, the company produced accumulatively nickel for 1.374mln tons,
copper for 1.901mln tons, cobalt for 42,000 tons, platinum for 26.3 tons, and the accumulative
business revenue was 274.5bln
yuan, the profit and tax totaled 47.7bln yuan, being 11 times of the country's
investment. In 2007, the company's business revenue broke though 50bln yuan. In 2008, the
total of
nonferrous metal exceeded 400,000 tons, the assets closed to 40bln yuan, and the business revenue was 55.1bln yuan,
ranking No. 65 in the
China top 500 enterprises issued by State Statistical Bureau. Currently, the company produces nickel for 150,000 tons, copper for 400,000 tons, cobalt for 10,000 tons, inorganic products for 2.5mln tons. The discovery of Jinchuan nickel finalized the history lack for nickel and cobalt. Now, Jinchuan has become well-known China's nickel capital, being a bright pearl setting in the Silk Road.
