Nucor increased the heavy and medium plate price for Oct.

Sep.16 MetalBiz--US Nucor announced that it would increase the heavy and medium plate price by U.S.$40 per short ton, which would be carried out from Oct.4. In September, the benchmark price of US shred scrap inclined U.S.$22 per long ton and correspondingly the raw material surcharge of heavy and medium plate for October also lifted U.S.$22 per short ton. At the same time, Nucor advanced the benchmark price of heavy and medium plate by U.S.$18 per short ton and the actual EXW price for October boosted U.S.$40 per short ton. After the adjustment, the EXW price of A36 heavy and medium plate will climb to U.S.$780 per short ton.
